Richard Swomley
Richard is a full-time real estate professional with over 30 years’ experience in residential sales, real estate finance/investments and home renovations. He has successfully: • Managed real estate transactions for the sale of some of the most exclusive properties in the Greater Denver Metro Area, and Colorado Resort properties and Ranchlands • Managed the renovation and updating of homes to improve lifestyle and add value • Assisted buyers with the financing of home purchases as well as the purchase of commercial properties • Initiated the development of and built investor confidence for real estate investment funds in excess of $200 million Richard is committed to providing the highest level of expertise available in the market while providing the highest level of service. Recognizing that the right home environment provides the basis for a fabulous lifestyle and in many cases for a business as well, Richard employs the skills and experience required to manage the successful purchase or sale. He utilizes old-fashioned hard work and diligence to understand the client’s objectives, with a finely-tuned skill set that employs advanced research/analysis, high level negotiations, contract management/execution as well as financing considerations and property inspections to achieve a successful closing. Success in real estate transactions includes the presentation of solidly credible answers to a myriad of challenging questions from both buyers and sellers, and Richard has proven his ability time and again. His knowledge and understanding of Greater Denver Metro and Resort Markets has developed over the years, from living in several neighborhoods in the Front Range including Cherry Hills Village, Hilltop and Castle Pines Village, and in two of the leading mountain resorts. He and his wife Elaine raised their 5 children in Colorado, and in addition to working in Front Range real estate, Richard has worked with Vail Resorts as a part-time ski instructor and back country guide for 25 years. Richard and Elaine have been active in numerous non-profit activities including Chairing The Pink Fund’s “Dancing With the Survivors,” the Denver Ballet Guild’s “A Taste for Dance;” and the Cherry Hills Land Preserve, Rotary International and US Coast Guard Academy Alumni Association fund-raising efforts. Richard is a former Managing Director in Finance with Smith Barney Inc., and also served as an officer of Chase Manhattan Bank in Project Finance. He previously served in the US Coast Guard in Vietnam and graduated with an engineering degree from the US Coast Guard Academy. He pursued post graduate studies at Connecticut College and the London School of Economics.
